April 13th Apocalypse Review - LOTS OF PICS!

As promised, here are some highlights from Birmingham 117th Regiments Debut Apocalypse Event held at the Apollo Hotel on Hagley road in Birmingham.

The Games was a standard Apocalypse match up with one difference.

A small contingent of Dark Angels were stranded on a world previously infested with Orks, during a mission to investigate strange energy signatures emanating from the surface. The signal came from a warp tainted artifact that addled the dark angels minds such that they could no long differentiate friend from Foe.  Imperial forces in the sector responded to the distress beacon launched by the Dark angels commander before his mind broke.

One force was already present on the planet before the imperials Arrived; the emergent xenos Tau were investigating the area surrounding the abandoned Ork airfield where the Dark Angels had taken shelter, and bartered an alliance with the imperials as they soon discovered they were not alone on the planet...

The esoteric energies radiating from the artifact had tripped the dormant defenses of the planets slumbering occupants.  Soon legions of newly awoken Necron warriors and ruling caste Lords marched forth from their stasis crypts in-search of trespassers.

The Artifact was like a beacon and from the whirling maelstrom of the warp, nearly a score of Daemon Princes, each more malevolent and twisted than the last poured forth from a rift in reality to lay waste to the Stoic Astartes and claim the artifact for their Dark masters.

The remnants of a splinter fleet of Tyranids roused from their hiding places, drawn to the Immense psychic presence of the artifact and hungry for slaughter.

Having Detected the Warp Breach, the Ordos of the Holy Inquisition dispatched a rapid response Team in the form of the formidable Gray Knights, lead by a full squad of Paladins, and supported by a mighty Reaver Titan of The Legio Titanicus

The battle Raged for Many Hours, the Imperials and Tau Allies intent on their rescue of the stricken Dark Angels, though many were slaughtered by the rampaging forces of destruction set upon them. Then, as dusk fell over the battlefield and the imperials made to make a strategic withdrawal,  the Bark and grind of Clanking engines could be heard on the horizon and a great streaks of Pollution choked Exhaust Blanketed the Battlefield...

DA RED BARUN IZ BACK AN REDY FER A FIGHT!
WAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!!

Stay tuned for more updates and MANY more photos.
